I bought Leopard today and have installed it on my laptop. First impressions? I love it!!! I was worried that it would run slowly on my system. It is truly not the case!!! It’s all very exciting! I’ll write more once I reinstall applications and transfer my personal docs. So far, so good!

Mac OS X Leopard!

October 26, 2007 is the release date for the long awaited Leopard, Apple’s new operating system. Also, known as Mac OS X 10.5. With over 300+ new features, it’s sure to to have a little something for everyone. That’s of course, you meet the minimum system requirements!
To run Leopard, you will need:
- An Intel, G5, or 867MHz+ G4 processor
- 512 MB RAM
- DVD drive
- 9GB of free disk space
That’s all fine and dandy, but some of the new features have higher requirements. For instance, DVD Player requires a 1.6GHz (and higher) processor. This is required for de-interlacing of video. I’m very excited about this release, but I run an older iBook G4. (almost 3 yrs old) I’m not sure how well Leopard will run on it? I suppose I’ll have to wait, and read other people’s experiences with installing it first, before I decide to upgrade. In any case, October 26 should be a very exciting day!

Tonight, the Kings are at home against the undefeated Minnesota Wild. The Kings are 1-5-0 on the season with 2 pts. It’s a rough start, but I believe Kings will get it together. Go Kings, go!!! TV: FSW, 7:30 p.m. PST
Update: Kings win! 4-3 in a shoot-out!

I just read this article at msnbc.com regarding Jerry Buss’ thoughts on trading Kobe Bryant from the Los Angeles Lakers. Personally, I think the Lakers should have kept Shaquille and let Kobe go. I’ve never seen an NBA player whine so much. To that I say, “not Kobe!”

So, it begins… again. My virtual steps into the blogosphere. I say again, because I did have a blog long ago running on MovableType. And like most, I blog faded. I don’t imagine writing a whole lot, but I what I think I do write will be at least interesting. I guess I look at my blog more as a tumblr blog… very short and to the point.
